CM promises the best health facilities to the masses

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has taken great steps to provide excellent healthcare facilities to the people of the province. CM chaired a marathon three-hour meeting at the CMO on Saturday in which it was decided to expand former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s health card scheme in an even better way.

The Chief Minister has also approved the modernization of Wazirabad Heart Institute (WIC) and the number of beds in the WIC will increase from 100 to 200. Pervaiz Elahi has approved the modernization of emergency departments of all hospitals in Punjab and all medications in case of emergency. the services will be given free of charge. CM said it is a patient’s right to get free medicine in an emergency. He revealed that the number of beds in the WIC would be increased to 400.

He revealed that the shortage of doctors at the WIC, especially anesthesiologists and paramedics, will be overcome immediately. He informed that anesthesiologists would benefit from a special allowance to make up for their shortage. The CM ordered to launch a special program to improve the capacity building of doctors.

The Chief Minister has ordered to build residences for doctors and paramedics on the vacant land of Wazirabad Heart Institute. He affirmed that the work of file must be carried out promptly in order to offer the best sanitary installations to the population of the province. A comprehensive review was carried out during the meeting to bring improvements to the health department while providing the best treatment facilities to the people. Former Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, Former P&D Chairman Salman Ghani, Former CM Principal Secretary GM Sikandar, CM Principal Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti, P&D Chairman, Health Secretary, Chief WIC, DG Rescue 1122 and relevant officials attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi expressed his deep sense of sadness and grief over the death of four people due to drowning in flood waters in Basti Talpur Dera Ghazi Khan area.

CM expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the heirs of the deceased. He shared the grief with the heirs of the deceased and vowed to stand with the heirs in their hour of mourning.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Punjab also expressed his deep sense of sadness and grief over the loss of precious human lives due to the fall of a mosque wall in Jhelum. CM expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the heirs of the deceased. CM ordered the administration to provide the best treatment facilities for the injured and requested a report from the administration on the incident.
